In honour of Dietitians of Canada’s Nutrition Month, Canadians nation-wide are being encouraged to think about what it means to eat well and be healthy.

Good nutrition can lower your risk of nutrition-related disease. It can help you to maintain a healthy body weight, and develop stronger muscles and bones. Eating well will help you achieve overall health and vitality.
Healthy eating can be achieved in just three steps: eating the right types and amount of food according to Canada’s Food Guide, reading Nutrition Facts tables to make healthier choices, and limiting foods and drinks that are high in calories, fat, sugar and sodium.
Health Canada has developed a number of easy-to-use resources that will help Canadians follow these steps and eat in a healthier way. Among them is a personalized My Food Guide Servings Tracker, as well as interactive tools to help you read Nutrition Facts tables and choose healthier products.
