Brydon Roe and John Leonard had a good idea: why not start a business that allows would-be visitors to Revelstoke do all of their bookings in one place.
To Roe it made perfect sense. He had seen the same concept in other resort communities and figured this was the right time and right place to do the same.
Their work has resulted in Everything Revelstoke, which offers visitors access to almost everything their hearts could desire: climbing, river rafting, kayaking, heli-skiing, dog-sledding and heli-hiking adventures.
“We’re going to focus on adventurous activities,” Roe said in an interview.
“We can book them into everything they want to do.”
The concept makes perfect sense as there are a number of small, seasonal, adventure-tourism businesses in town but most operate out of their owners’ homes which means there are no offices to visit.
“If you’re Terry Beitel or Eric Marsden you don’t have an office to showcase your kayaking or dogsledding adventures,” Roe said. “But you can work with us we’ll do the marketing and bookings.
“The whole idea is to bring the guests to town.”
Richard Eden, Everything Revelstoke’s general manager, said the company makes it easy for visitors to pre-plan holidays or simply arrive and book their vacation needs. Representing all sectors from accommodation, dining, spas, equipment, and shuttles to summer and winter activities, Everything Revelstoke is an all-inclusive booking agency showcasing all that the city has to offer.
As Revelstoke residents who live, work and play throughout the area, the Everything Revelstoke team has partnered with Eagle Pass Heli-Skiing to celebrate the launch of their new website www.everythingrevelstoke.com and their up-coming move to 122 Mackenzie Avenue with the giveaway of one free day of heliskiing or heliboarding, worth $1,299.
