The Revelstoke Atom Junior Grizzly team won the Atom Division championship in their Tier this weekend in Penticton.
The Junior Grizzlies got off to a great start on Friday evening, beating the Penticton JR Vees 11-4. On Saturday morning, they played Salmon Arm winning handily with a score of 9-1. That afternoon, they earned their third win in a row by defeating the Kelowna Peewee Girls team 7-2.
Sunday was an early 6:30 am start and the Junior Grizzlies tied the league leading South Okanagan Atoms 3-3, knocking them out of the playoffs.
The league’s final game against the Kelowna Rocket Peewee Girls team was a close battle, but the Revelstoke Atom team was determined to win. Their determination resulted in a 3-2 win and they took home the Division Title banner ending a great season.
