A Diamond Jubilee Medal for Anne Cooper

Former SD 19 Superintendent Anne Cooper was honoured with a Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal presented to her by Speaker of the House Bill Barisoff (left) and Education Minister Don McRae (right) during a visit to Victoria last week. Cooper, shown here with her husband Bob, received the distinction because of her contribution the public education system in this province. While superintendent of Revelstoke’s school system Cooper oversaw the development of a number of education initiatives that have combined to help make SD 19 one of the best school systems in the province.
