Well, with the loss last night in Sicamous, our Revelstoke Grizzlies season is effectively over. The ownership and management want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the volunteers who helped run this team all year. Starting with the Revelstoke Credit Union and all their amazing staff who helped us run a very tight ship all year. Todd Webber and Carol Hascarl, thanks for all the extras you did all year. Crystal Robichaud and Franca, thanks for the help with all our season’s passes. To all the RCU staff who gave up nights on the weekends to be there to support your community hockey team, thanks. To all our security guards, you guys put up with a lot all year and were always there to help our team. You were the best in the KIJHL.
To the timekeepers, goal judges, Dakota Brule and his team for doing music and video – thanks. To our announcers, consummate professionals, Denis Berarducci and Bob Loeppkey, what can I say? You guys were always there and thanks! To the billet families and our amazing Lori Reynolds, you went above and beyond to take care of these boys! Thanks. Maria Speerbrecker, thanks for organizing the junior helpers all year! They all did a great job. Thanks to them as well. Thanks to Courteney Kaler for running our Facebook page and Chip Simmons for doing our webpage.
To Greg Austin, Darren Komonoski, Jamie Barrisoff, Rob Miskiman, Darren and Cindy Cota, Sabrina, Helios (Fraser and crew), Leanne Anderson, all our bus drivers, and most importantly to Coach Kevin Kraus, thanks for all the time you put in guiding and caring for these amazing players. To all the businesses, media gurus, and fans that supported us all year, you truly are what makes Revelstoke special. Thanks. We wouldn’t have a team without you. If I forgot anybody, I apologize.
