We had a pretty successful Spelling Bee here at Columbia Park Elementary School a couple of weeks ago. We had twelve contestants in all and each did really well, from the practice round to the sixth round. The four successful finalists are: Julia Mackenzie, grade 5 (first place), Makenna McLaughlin, grade 4 (second place), Lane Bull, grade 4 (third place), and Lily Michaels, grade 7 (fourth place).
These four kids went to Begbie view for the district finals Spelling Bee, Feb 26. Everyone did really well. Julia placed second from our school. Way to go!
