Revelstoke athletes endured -14-degree temperatures this past weekend, but thanks to the hard work and expertise of Revelstoke’s waxing technicians, were able to have top-ten finishes in almost every event entered at the Teck BC Cup races at Telemark Ski Club near Kelowna.

Not surprising was the domination of Megan Evans, owning the podium in the 7 km skate skiing race on Sunday and the 1.2 km sprints on Saturday.  Simon Blackie had two 5th place finishes in an extremely competitive field, following a top 5 finish last weekend in Salmon Arm (Larch Hills).  Nelson Luxmoore and Jaclyn Elliot showed their mettle with silvers in the classic sprints.  Luxmoore and Elliot also had 4th place finishes in the free skate 1.5 km race on Sunday. Alana Brittin had an excellent ski as well on Sunday with a bronze medal placing in the 4 km skate skiing race.
