The Revelstoke Chamber of Commerce has redeveloped its website www.revelstokechamber.com. The new site is interactive and includes new tools to support its members.

According to Judy Goodman, the Chamber’s executive director, the highlights of the new site, which utilizes a WordPess framework, include:

A new Business Directory that optimizes products and services so that customers can find them in web searches;

A new tool called IdeaVote that permits members to post topics on any business subject and obtain feedback with comments and vote on ideas;

An Events Calendar for Chamber member and community promotions, events, and activities. Members can use the calendar to directly post their own event details and sync with their smartphones;

Resources to build any business including advertising and marketing; and

Services, discounts and benefit suppliers accessible through the member login function.

The new site is a major step up from the old website which was about a decade old.

Unlike the City, which commissioned its new site from an American company, the Chamber kept this website a locally built one. It was created by Derek Marcinyshyn of Monashee Mountain Multimedia and Jean-Marc La Flamme of Revelstuck Marketing.
