10, 9, 8, 7… Come on! Start counting down for what could well be the year-end’s best performance: The Revelstoke Coffee House Holiday Fundraiser Extravaganza Hootenanny!
With performances by Revelstoke’s Stuck on Honey and Salmon Arm’s A Million Dollars in Pennies this December 29 event at the Performing Arts Centre is bound to be the perfect way to start working up to a great New Year’s Eve Party.
Also performing are: Donna Peterson & the Fiddling Violinists; Doris & The Divas; Stephanie Clifford & Amy Burton; Rachel Kelly, Soleil and Braelin Kelly; Willy Gaw, Darrin Herting, Jacob Verburg; Leon Power; and the MC will be Big Dogg.
Oh! And did we tell you there will be a Chicken Toss at intermission? That should be interesting… but will it be a live chicken or a rubber one?
“It’s going to be a pretty high-quality night,” organizer Denis Severino of Stuck on Honey said in a recent interview. “We’ll have kids up on stage, too. There’ll be at least two kid acts.”
There won’t be any alcohol but munchies and drinks will be sold during intermissions.
“The whole idea of the fundraiser is to get a better sound system and lights for the Revelstoke Folk Music Society, which operates the regular coffee house events at the United Church,” Severino said.
On top of the music and the consumables there will be a 50/50 draw so you have a decent chance of actually winning some coin.
Tickets are $15 and are available at Valhallah Pure and the Big Eddy Pub. Denis is carting some around with him wherever he goes so you actually get some from him if you see him around town.
The show starts at 7:30 pm.
