It’s hard to knock the annual Santa Claus Parade, especially if — like me — you are a sucker for Christmas. The over-the-top commercialization of this holy season hasn’t made serious inroads in our small city and there is a genuine good spirit here that is lacking in many larger cities. With regard to the parade, specifically, that authentic feeling stems from fact that even the most ambitious of our community’s floats are so patently handmade that it’s impossible not to like them
This year’s theme was A Country Christmas and as you can see in the 9-minute video, the Chamber of Commerce and all of the participatory groups and businesses did an excellent job ensuring that it was exactly that.
