Amelia Brown is a Grade Six student at Arrow Heights Elementary School.  She has published her first book, The Lonely Dragon. Amelia has been working on this project for the past year and she has finally finished.  When she got the book in her hands she felt very elated.

The Lonely Dragon is about a little dragon who has a cold. He is very klutzy and clumsy, and because of this he has no friends.  As the story goes on, he has trouble coping with his cold, which leads to some funny situations.

Amelia is very fond of dragons and that is what gave her the idea to write this book.

Not being able to draw herself, Amelia went out into the community and asked Zuzana Driediger to be her illustrator. Zuzana has done an awesome job at illustrating and bringing her story to life.  Amelia is very grateful.

Amelia will be donating a copy of her book to the AHE library.  She is reading The Lonely Dragon to classrooms, and she has been sharing her book with friends and family.  We are hoping that Amelia will be writing a second story soon.
