On December 6, we observe a National Day of Remembrance of the tragedy that occurred at the Ecole Polytechnique de Montreal. But we must do more than remember. We must work for change, and we must build a society free of violence against women.
We also must support the work done by women’s centres, shelters and others on the front-lines across the province as they provide service and care for women and girls who experience violence.
