PAC sell-out for Greg Hill and Frank Desroisier’s film and multi-media night

Thursday evening’s multi-media show and film presented by Greg Hill and Frank Desrosiers was an absolute sell-out. The 275-seat Performing Arts Centre was jammed with people curious to hear Greg describe his recent adventures in Nepal where he survived the deadly September 24 avalanche on Mount Manaslu that slew nine European, Nepalese and Canadian climbers. After his riveting talk, Local filmmaker Frank Desrosiers showed his recently completed film Two Million Reasons, a gripping and touching documentary about Hill’s quest to ascend and descend two million vertical feet in one year. Think it would be easy to achieve? This absorbing film makes the difficulties very clear. Hill was, in the end, successful in setting that world record. Great stuff. David F. Rooney photos
