Local RCMP and SAR teams are combing the bush near Twelve Mile south of Revelstoke for a 39-year-old White Rock man who was reported missing on October 21.

A statement from Cpl. Thomas Blakney said David Anthony Klammer’s car, a 2003 Subaru Imprezza, was found parked along a logging road near the end of Twelve Mile on Monday, Novemeber 5. Ten days earlier, on October 26, a backpack believed to belong to him was found in the brush along Twelve Mile. He had left his parents’ Saskatchewan home on October 8 but was not reported missing until October 21 when he failed to materialize at his White Rock home.

A search by RCMP officers on November 5 failed to yield any positive results.

“As of November 6, Dearch and Rescue are in the process of conducting a ground search,” Blakney said in his statement. “David Klammer is described as a Caucasian male, 188 cm (6’2″), 89 kilos (196 lbs.), brown hair with blue eyes. David could possibly be wearing a brown leather jacket.”

Anyone who thinks they may have seen David Anthony Klammer or his vehicle or who thinks they may have some information about him is asked to call the Revelstoke RCMP at 250-837-5255 as soon as possible.
