Little Bear Tournament

Last weekend’s Little Bear Tournament was a tremendous success for all the kids involved and for the families that attended the two-day event.

Organizer Alan Chell said that judging by the e-mails he has received the tournament was a real winner. The tourney brought together teams from Revelstoke, Canmore, Salmon Arm, Kamloops, Golden, the Columbia Valley, Calgary, Williams Lake, Nelson and Castlegar.

Here’s a taste of the comments, this one from Grant Robertson, coach of the Kamloops U11 team:

“Not only was there some very exciting competition, but the tournament was a whole lot of fun, too. Loved the addition of the skills competition and pool party –  fantastic for the kids! Our parents are still talking about the riveting 3-3 tie with your boys! That was a great game. If you ever want to have an exhibition/friendly game, please feel free to drop me an email.”
