Cadets abseiling away, thanks to the Credit Union

Rocky Mountain Ranger Cadet Corps 2458 Revelstoke and their Sponsor Committee wish to thank the Revelstoke Credit Union for the $3,000 grant they received for the purchase of abseil gear.

“The grant is enabling our cadets to spend more time adventuring here and it will also make it easier to bring in other neighboring corps when we have unlimited access to the equipment,” the cadets said in a message to The Current.

“In the past we have had to order in equipment from the Vernon summer training camp and because many corps draw supplies for activities from there we may have been able to go abseiling one or two times in the year.”

Now, though, they can do it whenever they want and they went out last Saturday to show Martin Ralph of the Revelstoke Credit Union just what that means to them.
