Nelli Richardson, executive director of the Revelstoke Women’s Shelter, (center, left) was all smiles Wednesday as she accepted $2,000 from Royal Bank of Canada Manager Lynne Welock (beside Nelli) and members of the bank branch staff. Lynne said the Royal Bank of Canada Foundation encourages bank employees to help their communities and in April, which was International Volunteer Month, they raised $1,000 to repaint part of the shelter. The Foundation then kicked in another $1,000 as a special, one-time donation.
