The floral beauty atop Mount Revelstoke is certainly seductive. Everywhere you look, it seems, there are Indian paint brushes, mountain avens, willowherbs, monkey flowers, daisies and more.
However, this gorgeous explosion of colour is short-lived! If you put off the hike, bike ride or drive to the summit much longer you’ll miss this summer’s bounty.

Its petals gone, this yellow mountain aven offers its wispy seeds to the breeze. Many flowers are still in bloom along the Meadows in the Sky Parkway and on Mount Revelstoke National Park summit’s. However, their life span is brief so you should get up there to see them as soon as you can.
