Save the wildflowers!

The Friends of Mount Revelstoke & Glacier are looking for volunteers to help them out with wildflower rehabilitation at the group’s Balsam Lake Bookstore on Mount Revelstoke National Park this week.

“We will be moving flowers from the area where the new events deck will be going to other areas around the building,” Executive Director Neills Kristensen said in an e-mail Tuesday.

“You would have to bring  a shovel and gloves and suggested to wear boots, longs pants and long sleeve shirt due to bugs.  This will be happening on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, August 15-17.

“If you can volunteer an hour or two or the whole day that would be great!  We will be there from 9 am until 4 pm.”

Everyone interested in working on this project — even if only for an hour or two — is urged to send Kristensen an e-mail at fmrg@telus.net.
