YOU can help establish a Kids’-Borrow-A-Bike Program! 2012-07-20Tour de France fans, of which there are quite a few in town, have been packing Krista Cadieux’s Sangha Bean Cafe every morning to watch the race’s latest stages on a wide-screen TV over breakfast. A lot of them — especially those with kids in their lives — also had their eyes on that bright blue runbike that is to be raffled off to help create a stable of bikes kids can borrow. The Kids’-Borrow-A-Bike Program is a joint project of Skookum Cycle and Sangha Bean. There are also draws for a very cool Revelstoke Cycling Association jacket, Stoke Roasted Coffees, cycling tools and and various other items. Sangha Bean is donating 5% of sales generated through raffle tickets to the project. PLUS there’s a Silent Auction of original art work and other cool items. The proceeds from that will help finance the Revelstoke Cycling Association’s cross-country and trail building programs. David F. The cafe is donating 5% of its sales to the Kids’-Borrow-A-Bike Program. With every donation generous Revestokians get a chance to win a bike, T-shirts, Stoke Roasted coffee, bike tools and gift certificates. Sounds like a great program!
