Protestors want Wilks to vote against the feds’ omnibus budget

CRANBROOK — These are some of the 25 men and women who drove to Cranbrook from several communities in the riding to stage a protest in front of MP David Wilks' office. The protestors wanted Wilks to break Conservative Party discipline and vote against the government's omnibus budget. About 25 people showed up from Yak, Creston, Cranbrook, Kimberly and Revelstoke. Last week, the rookie MP told some constituents at a meeting in Revelstoke that he wasn't entirely in favour of all elements in the budget bill.
