Robber hits Days Inn twice in one day

Local Mounties have made an arrest after a single man robbed the Days Inn twice in one day.

“On May 7 at 7:55 pm a single male entered into the Days Inn… and robbed the clerk of funds from the cash register, then departed on bicycle,” Staff Sgt. Jacquie Olsen said in a statement released Thursday. “At approximately 9:40 pm this male returned to the Days Inn demanding further monies. There was a brief struggle as the manager and clerk attempted to hide in the office while calling 911. The subject then broke into the till and removed approximately $40 in change.”

A short time later police located and arrested a Revelstoke resident charging him with two counts of robbery, and mischief to property.  Lee Kincaid, 42, is currently in custody awaiting a bail hearing.

Neither the clerk or the manager were seriously hurt, none of the funds were recovered.
