GASP! You must see this student photo exhibition

Joe Harper and Emma Knight Flood take a break with Parks Canada's Alice Weber after they installed a 16-piece exhibition of photos taken by local RSS students while participating in last year's Glacier Adventure Stewardship Program. The exhibition is now on at the Modern Bakery & Cafe so you can enjoy them while picking up a latte, a loaf of bread or lunch. GASP, as the program was called, brought students up to Wheeler Hut in Glacier National Park. Guided by Parks staff, photographers and others they learned to regard the natural world in new and different ways. The photos are gorgeous and the kids deserve kudos for their work. Ideally, this program won't be axed during the recent rounds of budget cutting. David F. Rooney photo
