Who stands on guard for thee? For at least a couple of months people driving down the Trans-Canada have been greeted by this shredded national flag at the intersection of the TCH and Highway 23N. Most Canadians don't share our American cousins' obsession with patriotism and flag-worship, but it is disconcerting to see our national flag allowed to become nothing more than a rag waving in the wind. Local resident Joe Mueller says he complained to the City about the state of the flag two months ago and so far... nothing has happened. This is not right. David F. Rooney photo
