Obituary Notice — Dale White

Dale Carlisle White 1940 - 2012

Mr. Dale Carlisle White passed away at Queen Victoria Hospital, Revelstoke on Monday, January 2, 2012 at the age of 71 years.

A celebration of Dale’s life will be held later this summer.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Revelstoke Food Bank,  P.O. Box 2880, Revelstoke, B.C. V0E 2S0 in memory of Dale.  Dale was born in Grande Prairie, Alberta on June 18, 1940 and travelled across Canada many times during his life.  In 1965 he came to British Columbia and in 1969 settled here in Revelstoke.  He had worked as an underground miner and worked on the Mica Dam.  Dale was very proud of the fact that he had just celebrated 37 years alcohol and drug free.  He was very involved with Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous and was a member of the Revelstoke Seniors Center.  Dale enjoyed playing cards and was quite ‘a crib shark’, he also enjoyed listening to music, yard saleing and swap meets, and was especially fond of collecting watches.  Dale and Lenora loved to travel and enjoyed their trips across Canada and throughout the United States.

Dale was predeceased by parents, Grace & Marion White and brother Ronnie White.  He is survived by his wife, Lenora of Revelstoke; stepchildren:  Corilynn Nikitiuk (Bruce Moorwood) of Revelstoke, Norma Jean Lockwood of Kamloops, Danny Lockwood of Vancouver, Rob (Launa) Lockwood of St. Albert,  Alberta; adopted children: Candace Lawson of Cornwall, Ontario; Vince Perrault of Fort Frances, Ontario; Monique (Dave) Patterson of Kanata,  Ontario and their daughter Marcy; Guy Morin of Ontario; Renee Morin and herfamily of Thunder Bay, Ontario; friend Myrtle Morin of Ottawa, Ontario; grandchildren: Keira, Kellen & Kasey Lockwood of St. Albert, Alberta; Christopher (Sara) Nikitiuk of Terrace, B.C.;  Steve Folden of Keremeos, B.C., great granddaughters; Alexis of Calgary and Myka Lee Nikitiuk ofTerrace; 2 brothers: George White of Spirit River, Alberta, Les (Joyce) White of Mayerthorpe, Alberta, as well as numerous nieces and nephews andmany good friends.  Dale is also survived by his little ‘grand dog’ Patches.
