Adelheid Bender, acting director of the Chamber of Commerce, has resigned from her post.
I n an e-mail sent to Chamber members she said:
To Revelstoke Chamber of Commerce Members,
“It has been a privilege working for you, the members of the Revelstoke Chamber of Commerce, for the last 4 months filling as the Chamber Executive Director. I came out of retirement to help the Chamber during a time they needed someone to fill the ED position as I believed in the value to the Community of this organization.
“On Monday I handed in my resignation to the Board of Directors and Friday is my last day on the job.
“It was always meant to be a short term position for me an I now find I must move on as I have other committments that must take up more of my time.
“I wish you all great success in 2012.
