Mounties seek Revelstoke’s help in search for missing Kamloops man — UPDATED

Kamloops RCMP are asking the public for help in locating a Revelstoke man, who has been missing for three months. Rory Wayne McGillivray, 56 years old, was last seen September 18 following a visit with his son in the area of Tranquille Road in Kamloops. A statement from the Mounties said he was reported missing by family members who told them this was unusual. McGillivray is described as being 6' tall and weighs approximately 200 lbs. He also has blue eyes and is balding. His daughter, Heather Manson of Revelstoke, told The Current on Friday that her father was travelling alone and while he was an itinerant electrician who "worked all over the place," he would never vanish like this. Police are also looking for a vehicle possibly associated to McGillivray which is a dark grey 2008 Subaru Outback that had a BC License plate of 540 SHE attached. "He mentioned possible stopping in Chase to meet a couple of friends," Manson said. "It is possible that his car might be found parked there." If you have any piece of information that could assist in locating McGillivray please contact the Revelstoke RCMP at 250-837-5255 or call Kamloops RCMP at (250) 828-3000.
