Remembrance Day dawned with rain and cold, but Revelstokians nonetheless marched to the cenotaph on Friday to honour the local men who answered their country’s call and went to fight in two world wars.
It’s a ceremony made poignant by the whittling away of the city’s population of veterans. Yet no one has yet forgotten the importance of the sacrifices our soldiers have paid. Hundreds of people young and old attended the ceremony and laid wreaths at the foot of the granite monument.
