Michael Shawn Fraser passed away at Queen Victoria Hospital, Revelstoke on Thursday, September 8th, 2011 at the age of 39 years. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Revelstoke Community Center on Wednesday afternoon, September 14th at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Dan Meakes officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Center for the Southern Interior, 399 Royal Avenue, Kelowna, B.C. V1Y 5L3, in memory of Mike.
Mike was born in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan on October 30, 1971 and had been a resident of Revelstoke for the past five years. He loved baseball, dancing, camping, boating and fishing. Mike was a huge war buff and enjoyed anything to do with the military. He was dedicated to his family, friends and work. Mike was a major prankster who loved to push other people’s buttons. He was an extremely happy-go-lucky, friendly person who loved people and had the most infectious smile. He was known to be boisterous and exuberant, but always loving and people were drawn to him.
Mike is survived by his wife Debi of Revelstoke; four children: Bobby Pendergast, Conner Null, Austin Fraser and Robin Fraser, all of Revelstoke; his father, Mervin Fraser of Shell Lake, Saskatchewan and mother, Jacqueline Fraser of Kamloops; sisters: Margaret Fraser of Calgary and Cindy (Rick) Paterson of Clearwater; brother Marvin Fraser of Kamloops; his dog Diesel; numerous nieces and nephews as well as many in-laws and a host of good friends.
