Obituary Notice — Constable Clifford Alan (Cliff) Randall

Constable Cliff Randall 1951 - 2011

Constable Clifford Alan (Cliff) Randall passed away at his residence in Revelstoke on Sunday, August 21st, 2011 at the age of 59 years.  A Funeral Service will be held at the Fellowship Baptist Church, Revelstoke on Saturday afternoon, August 27th at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Rick Eby officiating.  A time of visitation will be held at Brandon Bowers Funeral Home, Revelstoke on Friday evening, August 26th from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.  Pallbearers are Jacquie Olsen, Mike Shannon, Eric Page, Larry Parsons, Gord Just, Rob Wiebe, Murray McNeil and Gary McLaughlin.  Bearer Party Commander is SSM Bob Underhill.  Stetson Bearers are Doug Pennington and Cam Joseph.  Insignia Bearer is Art Kleinsmith.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of one’s choice, in memory of Cliff.  A Memorial Service will be held at the Kamloops Funeral Home in Kamloops on Thursday, September 1st, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Rick Eby officiating.

Cliff was born in London, Ontario on September 11, 1951, and had lived in Revelstoke since 2001.  He was a member of the R.C.M.P. for over 35 years, having served in Surrey, Boston Bar, Alexis Creek, Tofino, Kaslo, Kamloops and was serving in the Revelstoke detachment when he went on medical leave.

He was a model train buff and started building train sets with his son Curtis.  Cliff was an active outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, boating, skiing, snowmobiling and motorcycle riding.  He enjoyed the time he spent on his boat on the water.  He was an excellent dancer and an accomplished drummer who played in a band with other RCMP members.  Cliff loved riding his Harley and was a 12-year volunteer and the Western Regional Director of HOG (Harley Owner’s Group) of Canada.  He was a very social person who loved to eat, drink coffee and chat with family and friends.

Cliff was predeceased by his parents Allan and Josie, brother Robert and his son Curtis in April, 2009.  He is survived by his spouse Barb of Revelstoke; daughter Jennifer Randall (Jason Joslin) of Kamloops; step children: Monique Bolen of Kamloops and Aarion (Karen) Howden of Surrey; five grandchildren: Alaina, Natasha, Cameron, Carson and Tyler; siblings: Derrick Randall, Greg Randall, James Randall, Denise Randall-Howe, Dianne Randall and Wendy Patten; numerous nieces and nephews; his dog Shylo; and cats Maw Maw, Mea and Tigger.
