Credit Union staff show their compassion

For a decade now, staff from the Credit Union have been pooling their personal money to purchase backpacks filled with school supplies for disadvantaged kids. This year, these thoughtful and compassionate people purchased 47 good quality backpacks loaded with scissors, crayons, pencils, rulers and more for school kids. Here are Elissa Tennant, Tannis Kungl, Melodie Kindret, Crystal Robichaud and Leah Zacker posing with the Community Connections Food Bank Coordinator Patti Larson. "The staff does this on their own — it's not the Credit Union as an institution," Patti said as these young women handed out backpacks to families that had registered for them. "That makes it especially impressive." Here, here! David F. Rooney photo
