Need to drain all that smelly stuff from your septic tank? Well, there’s a new Columbia Shuswap Regional District fee for disposal of septage waste and believe it or now, it’s gone down instead of up.
“At its regularly scheduled board meeting this month, the CSRD Board of Directors agreed to an amendment of the Refuse Disposal Tipping Fee and Regulatory Amendment Bylaw No. 5604 to reduce the fees for disposal of septage waste,” says a statement from the regional district. “The new fee for disposal of septage waste is reduced from $110 per tonne to $45 per tonne.”
