BC Liberal Peter Bernacki says he was very impressed by Premier Christy Clark when she spoke at a BC Liberal Convention in Penticton last weekend.

In particular, he liked her position on the HST and her Family First program and said he is sure she will work to improve the Trans Canada Highway.

He and fellow Liberal Merv Krywa raised the highway issue with both Christy and Transportation and Infrastructure Minister Blair Lekstrom during one of a series of Q&A sessions during the convention. Bernacki said they both indicated that they would examine the issue.

“They really want to make this government work,” Bernacki said.

They should.

During the convention Clark announced the appointment of Energy and Mines Minister Rich Coleman and newly elected party president Sharon White as her Election Readiness Co-Chairs and called on all BC Liberals to “get your ridings election ready.”
