Stanley Thomas Cavanagh passed away at Queen Victoria Hospital, Revelstoke on Saturday, April 9th, 2011 at the age of 69 years. There will be no formal funeral service by Stan’s request. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Revelstoke Hospice Society, Box 3133, Revelstoke, B.C. V0E 2S0, in memory of Stan.
Stan was born in Vancouver on October 12, 1941, and had been a resident of Revelstoke since 1989. He worked for over 45 years as a mechanic, a job which he was very proud to do. Stan loved hunting, fishing and spending time on his computer.
Stan is survived by his wife Bonnie of Revelstoke; three children: Sheilaha (David) Marks of Castle Rock, Washington, Jane (Mark) Smith of Squamish and Shawn (Deanna) Cavanagh of Langley; three step children: Charlotte (Steve) Richburg of Williams Lake, Heather Mortimer (Bud Robinson) of 150 Mile House and Lane (Ann) Mortimer of Turner Valley, Alberta; 12 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; sisters: Betty (Richard) Van Horne of Blackfalds, Alberta, Susan (Roy) Shull of Maple Ridge and Edna Salval of Vancouver; brothers: Mike Cavanagh of Surrey and Pat (Vicky) Cavanagh of Hixon, B.C. as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Arrangements were in the care of Brandon Bowers Funeral Home, Revelstoke.
