With great sadness we announce the sudden death of Bruce Norman Goddard. Bruce passed away at Queen Victoria Hospital, Revelstoke on Monday, April 18, 2011, at the age of 60 years.
Bruce was born March 21, 1951, and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba and he later moved to Revelstoke. He began work at the C.P.R. in May of 1975 and retired in May 2004 as an engineer after 29 years of service, at the age of 53. Bruce enjoyed golfing, skiing and spending time with his family. His true passion was reading and he could always be found in a comfortable chair with a good book.
Bruce is survived by his wife Lynda and children Michael and Molly. He is also survived by his parents Leslie and Mary Goddard; two brothers Clint (Janet) and Michael (Doris) Goddard; sister Jane Goddard; parents-in-law Roland and Wanda Holowaty; brother-in-law Rolly (Julie) Holowaty and many nieces and nephews.
There will be no formal funeral by Bruce’s own request. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Center for the Southern Interior, 399 Royal Avenue, Kelowna, B.C. V1Y 5C3, in memory of Bruce.

Cremation arrangements were in the care of Brandon Bowers Funeral Home, Revelstoke.
A tea in memory of Bruce (Jackson) will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at the Knights of Pythias Hall from 2 – 4 p.m.
