For years, people — especially parents — have been complaining about safety on Nichol Road near Arrow Heights Elementary School. RCMP said speed was not involved in this Thursday morning incident. The driver apparently somehow just slipped off the road. Ordinarily this wouldn't rate a photo let alone a mention of any kind, but for the fact it occurred within 50 metres of Arrow Heights Elementary. And what if a child had been walking along that stretch of road at that time? SD 19 officials, parents and others all want the City to install sidewalks along Nichol — sooner rather than later.
