Annie passed away at the Kamloops Hospice in the early hours of March 4th, 2011.
She will be greatly missed by her four children, Jim, Frieda, Patsy and Lorna, along with their spouses, six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, four siblings, and many friends.
Annie was born on the family farm in Demaine, Saskatchewan, on September 8, 1921, and left in 1944 to join her husband Bob at the airport in Terrace, BC, where he was stationed during the war. The Royal Canadian Air Force moved them to Prince George and they remained there after the war until they moved to Kamloops in 1965. When Bob passed away, Annie moved to Revelstoke in 1991 where she remained until July 2010, when she moved to Berwick on the Park in Kamloops. Annie’s quick wit and easy laugh, her eagle eye, inquisitive nature, high energy and her love of baking will be greatly missed by all of us who knew her.
A Celebration of her Life will be held on May 14, 2011, in the Seniors’ Centre in Revelstoke. Memorial donations to the Kamloops Hospice are greatly appreciated.
