Well, it looks as though we shall all go to the polls this spring to elect a new federal government.
That may not be something we necessarily want to do, but Giles Shearing is encouraging Revelstokians to vote through a new Facebook group, Revelstoke Votes 2011, located at http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=175056685875876.
“It doesn’t matter whether you’re going to vote based on a party and its platform or on who you think would be the best MP,” he said Sunday. “Everyone should vote. We’re a democratic society and that’s how it works.”
Voting isn’t just a right, it’s a duty.
