The following is a quick tip from a reader who has been following the Freeskiing World Championships:
“Revelstoke local Nicole Derksen finished 3rd at the Freeskiing World Championships in Snowbird, Utah (www.freeskiingworldtour.com) on Saturday afternoon.
“She also finished 4th overall in the women’s International Free Skiers Association 2010-2011 final standings (IFSA – freeskiers.org the final standings have yet to be updated). She was a rookie on the tour, after qualifying with a 3rd place here in Revelstoke in early January, and was the only unsponsored athlete participating in the tour. Thanks for taking the time to read this, would love the community to hear about her.”
