BC Liberals Geoff Battersby and Peter Bernacki pounded the pavement on behalf of George Abbott's campaign to become the new leader of their party. They spent much of Wednesday visiting party supporters such as Laurie Hughes at Expressive Interiors in advance of Abbott's visit to Revelstoke Wednesday evening. Abbott, MLA for Shuswap and a life-long Sicamous resident (which practically makes him a local guy), is the only person from the rural Interior with a serious shot at succeeding Gordon Campbell.
