My husband and I have recently returned from Revelstoke, where we spent three weeks over Christmas, visiting our Australian daughter and son-in-law and meeting our new baby granddaughter.
We so enjoyed our stay in your delightful town that I wanted to write to say how positively impressed we were by the friendly, warm and helpful Revelstoke community. The response, “You’re Welcome,” made us feel genuinely so, from everyone we met in the street who kindly gave us directions, to all the staff of the shops, cafes, restaurants & pubs, & the hardware store who cheerfully delivered a ladder, purchased for our son-in-law, the same day and at no charge. We enjoyed meeting our daughter’s very nice former work colleagues, and of course her and her husband’s new friends, who made us so welcome in their homes.
We have such happy memories of our visit to Revelstoke & of its residents, & are delighted that our granddaughter is a Canadian/Australian citizen, born in Revelstoke, BC! Thank you all for having us.
