Nordic skiers open 2011 with annual lantern ski

One of the most delightful New Year’s Day traditions in Revelstoke is the lantern ski on Mount MacPherson organized by the Revelstoke Nordic Ski Club. Nordic ski enthusiasts enjoyed perfect conditions as they skied at night along the lantern-lit trail to the Ole Sandberg hut, all decorated with Christmas lights. They were greeted with a cosy fire in the wood stove, hot chocolate, hot apple juice and cookies.
