Revelstoke Mountain Resort is, for the second time, hosting the Subaru Freeskiing World Championships.
The races will include a number of activities and events. All of them listed below:
Tuesday, January 4
FWT Speaker’s Series with Sean Cochrane — Mackenzie’s Restaurant, Located in the Powder Springs behind the Last Drop — 7 pm – 9 pm
Wednesday, January 5
Ski with the Stars — Morning ski session with the Tour Leaders at Revelstoke Mountain Resort, 9 am – 10 am. Pre-Registration required. Please contact the Revelstoke Outdoors Centre at 250.814.5060 * Afternoon school presentations at Mountainview, Mt. Begbie, and Revelstoke Secondary 1:30 pm – 2:30 pm
The Cabin and Mt. Begbie Brewery Present: Bob’s Your Dunkel Release Party! — “DJ R3” Live * Beer Tasting (Bob’s Your Dunkel Samples from 8 pm – 11 pm) * $7.50 Mt. Begbie Bob’s Your Dunkel bottles * Dress up as your favorite Bob or Uncle, prizes awarded for best dressed — 8:00 pm – 1:00 am
Thursday, January 6

FWT Kick-off Party — Street Festival in Grizzly Plaza with live music by “Shred Kelly” — Highlights from last year projected on the big screen * 6 pm – 7:30 pm
Community FWT Welcome Party at Outabounds — $4 pints of Pilsner and $4 vodka highballs — No cover until 11 pm — 9:30 pm – close
Friday, January 7
Revelstoke Mountain Resort – Competition DAY 1 * 9:45 am – 11: 30 am, Women’s Run 1 — 11:45 am – 2 pm, Men’s Run 1
Retro Movie Night at the Roxy – Hot Dog — Come decked out in your finest retro ski gear, prizes awarded for best dressed — Fundraiser for local CARDA handlers – hotdogs and beer sales — Tickets: $10 (pre-sale only, limited number available). Pick up your ticket today at our Guest Services desk at the Resort or at the Presentation Centre downtown — 7 pm – 9 pm, doors open at 6 pm
Fondue and Turtlenecks After Party at the Village Idiot — Specials on Mt. Begbie Pints — 9 pm – close
Saturday, January 8
Revelstoke Mountain Resort – Competition FINALS — 10 am – 11 am, Women’s Run 2 — 11 am – 1 pm, Men’s Run 2 — Dynastar Demo day
FWT Awards Ceremony — Street Festival in Grizzly Plaza with live music — Highlights from competition finals projected on the big screen — 7 pm – 8:30 pm — Live music at the Regent Inn by The Tuques, no cover, 10 pm – close
FWT Wrap-Up Party at the Last Drop — Live music with Pterodactyl and the Extinctions — $12 pitchers of Mt. Begbie — 9 pm – close
