City hires new CAO from Burns Lake

The City of Revelstoke has hired Tim Palmer of Burns Lake as its new Chief Administrative Officer, Mayor David Raven announced on Tuesday.

He said Palmer will begin work here on February 28.

Palmer has spent 20 years in municipal government service in Trail, Summerland and Burns Lake. He is also no stranger to project-heavy governments having managed $30 million in projects in Burns Lake over the last five years.

According to his website (www.tpalmer.ca) he is married and has five children, all but one of whom have graduated and moved on. The family are outdoor enthusiasts and Palmer is also a Rotarian.
