What will the library of the future be like? You can help shape it!

As part of its strategic planning process, the Okanagan Regional Library (ORL) is using online tools to invite feedback and opinion from the communities it serves to help guide the library system’s future programming.

A statement from the system, which includes the Revelstoke Public Library, said Monday there is an online survey at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/CZWQBYJ now open that takes about 10 minutes to complete, and five discussion boards on the ORL’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/OKRegLib.

“Everyone in the ORL’s service region, stretching from Golden to the US border, is invited to participate in either or both of these surveys to add their opinions on what the ORL of the future should look like,” the statement said. “The survey and Facebook discussion boards will be open until October 29.”

Random telephone surveys and focus groups will also be conducted throughout the region during October.  The ORL expects to complete its strategic plan by March of next year.
