Oh! What a birthday

By David F. Rooney

There are birthdays and then there are birthdays and Ebba Stocks celebrated one of those when she turned 102 this year.

The frail centenarian was the guest of honour at this month’s birthday party at the Seniors’ Centre on Wednesday.

She received a lot of flowers and the personal best wishes of Mayor David Raven at the event.

Here are a few photos of the party I thought I’d share with you:

What's a birthday party without a song? Charlene Robertson leads the Seniors Choir in singing an amusing song written just for Ebba Stocks on her 102nd birthday as Marg Stovel plays the piano. David F. Rooney photo
