Limber up for squash!

Limber up! The Bear’s Den Squash Club is hosting its Classic Squash Tournament in a couple of weeks.

“We are working hard to get ready to host some of the best squash players in the interior in our Annual Squash BC Sanctioned Tournament,” Club spokesman Kevin Dorius said in a statement. “The dates are October 15 to 17. There will be draws for all playing abilities.”

There are plenty of other opportunities for seasoned and novice squash players to enjoy the club’s facilities, too.

The club offers free lessons every Tuesday night from 7:30 to 9 pm to anyone who wants to come out and try the game.

“We have equipment that people can borrow,” Dorius said. “All anyone needs to bring is appropriate athletic clothing and clean, non-marking shoes.”

It also has a junior program every Saturday from 10 am until. Participants must be youth members of the club. And there is a Thursday Night League. Games start at 7 pm and run through to about 10 pm.

Anyone who is looking for more information about the club can call Kevin at 250 837-5345 or visit the club’s website at www.racquetden.com.
