Spelunking deep inside Glacier National Park

Revelstoke resident Laura Stovel was one of a number of members of the Friends of Mount Revelstoke and Glacier who had an opportunity to explore the Nakimu Caves a week ago.

Happily for The Revelstoke Current and its readers, she took a camera with her and sent us some photos of her adventure.

“This was the first of four Friends of Mount Revelstoke and Glacier guided trips to Nakimu Caves this summer,” she said. “We went on Saturday, July 24. The Nakimu Caves are in the restricted Cougar Valley above Roger’s Pass and Parks’ permission and a caving guide are required to visit the caves — which is why this opportunity is a rare treat.”
