Revelstoke pre-teens are Bear Aware

By Janette Vickers

Revelstoke Bear Aware spent the morning of Aug. 11 with the kids at the Community Connections Pre-Teen Camp.  They all told their own bear stories and learned about both black bears and grizzly bears.

They discussed what bears eat in their natural habitats and what bears eat when they come into Revelstoke (garbage, fruit, birdseed, compost, etc.).  The Pre-Teens Campers also spent the morning painting bear paw moulds and creating a poster showing bear attractants within our community.

Thanks for a great morning!
