Here’s something to brighten up your drive home!

Kids in the Community Connections Pre-Teen Summer Camp made a solidly artistic contribution to the community this year when they painted this great street-surface mural on Ninth Street East by Queen Elizabeth Park. Camp Counsellor Erica Maltby, who organized and oversaw the project that also utilized the skills of artist Shannon Robinson and Bear Aware Coordinator Janette Vickers noted that, "in total, the project took roughly 14 hours of painting, spraying, and stenciling; we used about 12 gallons of paint when all was said and done. Needless to say we learned something new everyday about doing a street mural and painting with the Extremely Fast drying traffic paint. Photo courtesy of Francis Maltby
